DEP Noise frequency
These are just noise related complaints to the Department of Environmental Protection. The first and biggest source of noise actually belongs to the Department of Buildings – they issue the permits for after hours work and, in a straight-forward situations, the people responsible for issuing permits are also accountable for everything that flows from those permits, especially if they are issued knowing that construction without noise is an oxymoron. The DEP is responsible for the watery supply, and if the water is dirty or contaminated, the DEP gets the complaints. But the Dept. of Buildings has oversight for construction but not, apparently, fo the conditions of construction. That suddenly becomes the responsibility of the DEP. who was it who said power without responsibility has been the privilege of the who …. I’d remember but all the noise has addled my brain. Coming up next – noise that gets sent to the NYPD
