Covid-19: NYC Positivity Rates By Borough, to 10.21.20

What’s this? The percentage of tests on 10/21/20 that were positive for the coronavirus. The WHO standard is 5% or less for a passing grade. Governor Cuomo’s standard for a county is 2% or less on average over 14 days. The graph shows the daily positivity rates for each borough/county in New York City. And the positivity rate for the city as a whole. As you can see, the city as a whole hit a high of 1.6% twice since August; remaining well below that the rest of the time. Not so Brooklyn and Staten Island, which both crossed 2% on multiple days. Then there’s moneyed Manhattan, mostly below 1%.
