Covid-19: NYC 5 Boroughs, Nassau & Westchester – 09.30.20

At the risk of sounding like a case of mono-mania: Staten Island. It resumed ‘out-performing’ the other boros, in the wrong kind of way. Lower population, lower population density, geographically isolated being an island with limited access – all this would suggest that Staten Island would have the lowest transmission rates of all five boroughs. And once again, I attribute it to a messaging failure – guidelines about masking and social distancing not getting through.
